Birth Support

PREMIUM support

We’ll begin with a free hour-long consultation where we discuss your birth vision, fears, goals, and any ongoing education. This helps us determine if we’re a good fit. Our second mandatory meeting, lasting 2-3 hours, covers essential topics and adapts to your specific needs. During the third meeting, we will spend a lot of time focusing on the postpartum plan and education. During labor and delivery, I’ll be there to support you. From 37 weeks onward, I’m on call for you, I am always aiming to arrive within 2 hours of your call. After birth, during the immediate postpartum period, I’ll stay with you for 2-3 hours, capturing precious moments during Golden Hour and helping you settle into your postpartum room. I will then fade out to allow your new family time together to bond. Congratulations—you did it!

Before Labor

Prior to labor, we will meet together a minimum of 3 times!

The first meeting is our free, hour long consult. During this consult we will introduce ourselves briefly and then go over your vision for your birth, your wants, fears, goals, and any education you are currently learning or if you need some resources. This is to see if we resonate with each other and if we would both like to move forward with support. I am a huge believer in the doula/client relationship being natural and fluid, if it is rough and choppy, we will not be the best fir, and it would be doing us both a disservice.

The second mandatory meeting is our Prenatal Meeting. This meeting is around 2-3 hours long, depending on the amount of information we cover and how involved spouses are, and the amount of questions we encounter. I have a curriculum for these meetings, but would love to slightly adapt them to each individual client. All questions or comments you may have prior to the meeting will be incorporated into the appointment.

The 3rd meeting will be focused more on postpartum healing and what to expect during those first few days, weeks, or month. We will go over any uncertain topics and questions from the first meeting, and then continue on with the curriculum, as planned.

Labor & Delivery

During Labor & Delivery is where things get SERIOUS! Not really, I am a huge advocate of laughing your way through labor.

The majority of our time together will more than likely be during your labor, unless we spend extra time with the Prenatal Meetings.

From 37 weeks onward, upon receiving your final payment, you will be moved to my Emergency Bypass, and I will be on call for you. This means that when I receive your call that labor is beginning, I will clear my schedule for the next 24 hours to ensure I have ample time to support you.

I can arrive usually within 2 hours of you call, unless I am at another birth. After I arrive, I will remain with you throughout the duration of your labor and for a few hours (usually 2-3) following birth, as permitted and as appropriate for the birth environment and maternal/fetal health.

During this time, I will also be taking pictures and videos for you as permitted by your Media Release form! These pictures serve as memories captured from one of the most life changing days of your family’s little life.

Immediate Postpartum

You DID IT!!

The immediate postpartum period is the first few hours following birth. Typically this includes Golden Hour and when you will possibly be moved to your postpartum room.

During this time, I will remain by your side for a couple hours–typically 2-3, and I will capture the moments of Golden Hour, baby being measures, assist with moving belongings to another room, basically any tasks that are needed to get the family settled.

At the end of those few hours, I will slowly fade out and give your new family unit time to bond and recover.

You did it, I am so proud of you!

Congrats on your new baby, and your birth as a mother.

Postpartum

Sometime within the next 2-ish weeks–depending on birth experience and visitor schedules–we will meet for a little debriefing, recapping meeting to check in on you, baby, and your partner.

During this meeting we will go over any issues you may be having that require outside resources (IBCLC, PFT, Mental Health, etc), and get you set up on the right track for those.

Additionally, we will go over your birth story, and you have the opportunity to allow me to take notes and write it for you to share or to have, or you can write the story yourself and share it with me. This meeting gives us time to go over your thoughts and feelings about the birth and help answer any questions that may be had, or express and deal with concerns regarding your experience.

This is not a meeting for you to host me, messy hair and PJs are just fine.

I would love to be the one you trust to offer you

raw memories
